Okanogan PUD Board Highlights
August 26, 2008

Resolution No. 1463 – Delegation of Authority: The Board authorized Resolution No. 1463 delegating contracting, purchasing and work order approval to the Manager.
Resolution No. 1467 – NoaNet Loan Guarantee: The Board approved Resolution No. 1467 authorizing Northwest Open Access Network (NoaNet) to establish a line of credit.
2008 Telecom Business Plan: The Board approved the 2008 Telecom Business plan as previously presented at the August 5, 2008 workshop.
Manager’s Report: The following items of interest were presented:
- The District has initiated contract discussions with the firm Zeck Butler. They will provide architectural services in support of the proposed District headquarters building.
- Discussions with BPA continue over proposed changes to the “Slice” product the District participates in with BPA.
- The District filed its final license application with FERC for the Enloe Hydroelectric Project on August 22, 2008.
Meeting Schedule: The Board cancelled the November 11, 2008 regular board meeting as it falls on Veterans Day. State law prohibits public meetings being scheduled on state holidays. The revised schedule now includes the following dates: September 9 & 23, October 14 & 28, November 4, 18, & 25, December 2, 9, 16, 23 & 30, and January 6.
The next scheduled BOC meeting is set for September 9, 2008 beginning at 1:30 p.m. The meeting will be held at the District’s office in Okanogan.
