Solar Demonstration Project
In 2003 the PUD installed a solar demonstration project at the Okanogan headquarters building. The purpose of this project was to educate staff and customers about how a photovoltaic (PV) power system works using an easy to understand, hands-on approach. The system is a 1.65 kw grid intertied PV power system.
The PUD's Solar Demonstration Project was commissioned on October 23, 2003. Since its inception, the solar demonstration project has generated the following amount of electricity:

Please feel free to stop in at the PUD's main office in Okanogan to see this system in operation!
